One Woman, Many Grammatical Errors

Weekend Review

In case you hand’t noticed, I’ve been working at updating this morning.  For a while I was all “who really wants to read it” but you know who does?  Future me.

Matt like’s to remind me that my eyes are bigger than my calendar (my saying in fairness, not his).  In other words, much like it’s “your eyes are bigger than your stomach” counterpart I have this really obnoxious habit of overscheduling me, and thereby us, on the weekends.  I have a horrible time just sitting around for hours and hours on end.  Hell maternity leave was like challenge of epic proportions because despite the fact that I was constantly busy, nothing ever got done.  That, combined with really wanting to spend time with my small group of friends outside of working hours and, oh yea my family means that my weekends can easily take on a to-do list of epic proportions and enjoying myself become rather difficult.  Heck, I might just have to put “enjoy yourself” down as a to-do some weekends.

With all of that being said, I’ve been trying very hard to not overschedule.  Just bc it SOUNDS like it’s just “a few things” it never is.  And while I would desperatly love to have coffee with this person or go to IKEA with those folks, I recognized that that wasn’t fair.  To me, to my family, to my friendships when I am just spread to thin.  So I’ve had to start saying no, but in the hopes that the “yes”s to come will be so much more meaningful.  Anywho, with that crazy long intro, here’s what we got into this weekend:

  • Molars.  At least 3 of them and holy cow they are no joke.  I spent most of Saturday trying to distract my almost 15 month old from pain I could do nothing about.
  • Talked about paiting, basement and bedroom.  Nothing got done of course, but I”ll be painting the basement this week.
  • Cleaned.  Turns out that the Shark steam mop only uses distilled water. Apparently regular old tap water causes calcification.  Guess who didn’t know that?  Guess who’s started trying to clean with vinegar and water?
  • Weighed in.  Not horrible, not great.  Up 0.4lbs.  Likely just the sheer amount of salt I took in on Friday alone.  Back at it already.
  • Bought new workout shoes with my gift card-yay!
  • Went searching for a new vaccume filter and STILL cannot find it.  ‘Bout to just buy a new vaccume.
  • Superbowl with friends.  Very low key which was good and even better Emerson was totally entertained.

Happy Monday
