Waiting and other Tidbits
There’s a lot going on, and not a lot at the same time. Mostly it’s just a whole lot of waiting. In the meantime, here’s what’s happening in our world:
- Emerson continues to do well at daycare and we are happy with the switch.
- Tonight Emerson brought home her first piece of art. I never really understood the big deal with parents wanting to keep their kids art projects….until tonight.
- Emerson continues to be a mama’s girl. If I drop her off in the morning she has begun freaking out on me. Of course, 5 seconds after I’m out of site she’s just fine.
- She’s finally using, like really using, a sippy cup. That said, she’s still waking up in the middle of the night thristy. Haven’t quite figured that one out yet.
- After buying a new pair of shoes and a little peer pressure girlfriend is finally walking. Well most of the time. If she *thinks* about it she won’t do it. Stubborn like her Mama
- She’s using her signs! Lala will be so proud. Yesterday she told me she was hungry please. YAY! It’s not 100% consistent but I feel like I can communicate more at least.
- She’s waving still, but she isn’t doing the self wave anymore. Now she shakes her hand in the appropriate direction.
She’s becoming more and more of a toddler and I’m loving every minute!
